Early intervention for preschool children is designed to prepare them for school and address areas of deficit so that they can begin school on a level footing with their peers.

This includes learning through music, indoor and outdoor play and games designed to introduce them to reading, writing and numeracy.

At the same time, we’re also teaching them habits to prepare them for the structure of school and instil a sense that school is about discovery.​

The transition to high school can be overwhelming for many students. Often their greatest support need is organisation and assistance with their assignments. 

Central Coast tutors develop an individual program that is subject based and/or skills based that supports the literacy and numeracy development of your child.

Skills based programs assist students across all subject areas.

For instance, English tutoring can include sound recognition, reading recovery, spelling skills, sentence composition, comprehension and creative writing

Numeracy programs will include fun approaches to developing maths skills through practical activities

These approaches help students to gain confidence and experience success

NAPLAN preparation

The transition from Junior High School to Senior School is significant. Teachers expect students to have a high level of literacy. Many students need support with essay writing and assignment completion.

Central Coast tutors develop an individual program that is subject based. All programs have embedded strategies to help your child develop the necessary literacy foundation to write successful essays and complete quality assignments towards HSC completion and specific ATAR goals.

We welcome students who are in out of home care or are clients of other support NGO’s.  We provide tutoring for children with all levels of ability and the full range of learning challenges.
